CLEANING RAW MOHAIR
Step One:                           
                                             
                                          
Place locks in a garment
bag (I place my mohair
on a screen, then place
a second screen over
and secure the two
together). The goal here
is to prevent the mohair
from any form of
agitation when
submersing in the water
(step two)

Step Two:                            
                                             
                                        
Fill a basin with hot
water 145 degrees add
dish soap (I use Dawn)
gently mix soap try not to
make sud bubbles. Place
secured mohair into hot
water, soak as long as
you can without the
temperature dropping
far below 140 degrees.
Drain water gently.
Repeat step two until
water is clear, free of
dirt.

Step Three:                        
                                             
                                         
Rinse mohair without
agitating, the best way is
to soak it in hot water
again. Repeat the rinse a
couple of times. Lay out
flat to dry.
